Northern Landscapes
This series of images was taken while traveling in the Watertown area in upstate New York. After photographing the postage stamp sized back yards of Queens, I was struck by the expansive vistas of the land upstate. In Queens, an above ground swimming pool or swing set would fill the entire footprint of a yard, but up north it is a blip on the horizon of a back yard that melds into farmland. Other curiosities dot the landscape, which speak of the scale and vastness of the land.
